Well i am indian but unfortunately not in India. I am a NRI, so i dont have to file taxes in india.

However to quickly help you, you should declare your adsense earnings till March in your returns file for the same year.

Now this is my legitimate advice. I am sure that most of the people dont bother to inform Tax departnement about the earnings.

However better be safe than sorry. At some stage, indian govt is gonna wake up and say adsense money has to be declared :D

Thanks GOldfish. But what is the % of tax i have to pay on it. Does it get accumulated on my total earnings or is it independent? Where do i need to file this?

What kind of benefits are you referring to? Is it some kind of rebate in taxes or some other?

This is not foreign CCY money. Google is paying you in local CCY. Secondly you will have to prove that the registered entity under which you operate is not in India or you provide all your service non-indian nationals.

Either of it you can't prove. your site is not only for non-indian nationals.

If its regarded as a service, you still need to pay the taxes. Unless you form a company and operate adsense on company name, you will have to pay taxes according to the law. However its upto you whether you want to or not.

Foreign CCY money also attract taxes since you are a Indian.

Me being a NRI dont have to pay taxes if i remit my money into a NRE (non resident external) account.

Before someone ask me, I work for a bank and i know how it works:D

Shaukvit, i strongly suggest you ask some legitimate CA rather than some guys giving you wrong info.

How you know he doesnt have to pay taxes? lol

When you file returns you have to declare your earnings. If the earnings considering his earnings can be from Adsense + job can exceed Minimum taxable amount. He has to pay the taxes in that case.

So if your total earnings in the year exceeds min tax amount you will have to pay the taxes.

    For indian residents only.
