What are the strongest directories?

The "idea" of the tool is still as great as it was before, but now that it is so popular, it is seriously stressed, and doesn't get all the information every time (which makes the result incorrect). I will try to get Dirsensei updated for you so that it includes all the information.

Best of luck with updating the list; seems it's becoming quite a chore if the tool isn't functioning well. From what I've experienced I'm not sure that I would pay for membership.

 

SEOMOZ should be ashamed of charging for the use of such a faulty tool. I am thinking of adding then to the QBC Wall of Shame.

I think I actually liked the idea when they released. But I didn't take it so seriously as some folks do today.

I thought it was like "another interesting stuff", just like many other tools.

I think some of the factors they consider are not so useful. If someone is going to make a better one. It should check backlinks from related sites rather than the number of all backlinks, relevant or irrelevant.

Just to update this: the first page of the list has been completely updated. The second page is still in progress and the new directories will be added to the list soon.

 

I agree, same thing here. It actually decreased for dream web directory, white links increased two fold.
But why do we give so much importance to this tool? Didn't Matt Cutts said that .gov and .edu links do not carry more weight?
