Hi, I want to know what exactly are the spamming activities that can cause Google penalties and deindexing of a site. Regards HZ
Links spamming. 1000 new backlinks a day for a new website, that is definitely links spamming. As for blog commenting and signatures G usually have a hard time determining if it's spam or not, unless a. The site itself has been deindexed by G itself due to certain issues. b. The site lodges a complaint against you. c. It just looks too bloody unnatural. What is unnatural? Some people think having the same anchor text for all links is unnatural, I have to disagree with that. To be honest, the only unnatural thing I find is to have my links appearing in multiple link farms. Having said that, spamming on forums and blogs will however, get you banned from them and possibly have your links deleted or changed to nofollow. Watch out who you are linking to as well, meaning check your outbound links from time to time. Make sure those sites who used to have PR still have them, and make sure they still exist. Once a site has been flagged by G (PR1< to PR0 is a sign) it can be harmful to your site, so remove the links right away.
Who says that *spamming* can cause penalties and deindexing? Certainly, some black hat optimization techniques can. But, I don't believe that spam can do so. Maybe thousands of very poor links to a site that is already on the borderline of being penalized could push it over the edge. But *spam* alone (like spamming blogs comments) can't do what you say. /*tom*/
there's not flat rule from google. I have many site without link but has good ranking ... otherwise, I have many site with many backlink but has 0 rank ... So I do not believe google theory too much. Yes it's true, backlink, page ranking and many theory ... but not always like that.
Getting a bunch of backlinks fast will do nothing. Spammy or otherwise. I don't know why this keeps proliferating. If it worked like that, man I'd spam my competitors out of existence. You cannot control your inbound links, and google knows this. People confuse useless backlinks with quality backlinks. They get a bunch of useless backlinks and don't understand why they drop. Then they assume it's because of spammy links. No. You drop because you have done nothing to keep your site sustained. If you would just concentrate on quality backlinks, not quantity! Stephen C
When you build a website you need to build repuration or authority and spamming is never going to help. Whether google will penalise or not is not that important (but you have to remember they are not stupid), your visitors will penalise you even more for spamming. In my modest opinion when google find spamming they take necessary steps to penalise the websites.
I think the spamming activities that can cause your website deindexed or lose some SERP and PR rankings is posting a blog comment on a blog that has hundreds of spam comments per article.
Absolutely NOT TRUE. If that's the case then all the high PR blogs would have been deindexed ages ago, there won't be any of them around. G is not god, they don't look over us 24/7, their robots follow an algorithm which everyone thinks is scary but it's not! All it takes is a bit of common sense to keep yourself on the safe side. Bottom line - IF THE HUMANS DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T DO IT. Think about the humans, that's what G cares about - the users. If they like you G likes you.
