    aren't see too much results :) in this case within 10 years I think one single person can check / write / delete more than 50 billion words , since odp have like 4mill links , hole review can take ( with a single person ) maxim 2-3 years , but not forget the 200+ help hands from editall/catedit , and other hundreds of editors , do not count the robozilla which is seems is sleepy. And if this activities are done in the paste with same technique with pre-made text , nothing human attach to them ... look at the result :) ..... look at last threads closed there , look at the last threads closed on RZ forums , and look at the thread where folks come and point out wrong links ...

    @trustnobodynever's

    I would laugh at your post, except i fear that you are serious. You are way outside the boundary of common sense and you are certainly not thinking logically.

    If the result of all these activities, produced people like you and jim who can approve of injustice and close their eyes to corruption then we must conclude that those activities has been a total failure from both human and a healthy organization point of view. ;)

    Are you makrhod husband/partner? It seems the whole purpose of your posts in this forum to be to praise her and attack anyone who doesn't agree with her. :rolleyes:

    or is this yet another case of DMOZ motto "guidelines apply only to things we don't like" :p

    I presume "markhod" refers to me, but even so, this has got to be the most off-topic question I've seen here. LOL

    Unless you have a serious reading disability you'll note that my post doesn't discount the possibility of exceptions... nor does it require that all exceptions be removed.

    If someone makes a site covering successive individual events I'd consider it listible... but a site for a single event has every probability of a short-term lifespan and I wouldnt list it. I might make an exception in the case of events that are seriously historical in nature and broad in scope (I'd likely list a sight for an individual year of the Olympics), but that'd be my call if I was editing that section, and might not coincide with someone else's call.

    So basically notwithstanding your attempted snub indicating the problem is that Americans are provincial and incapable of dealing with weighty matters like Europeans (seriously Ivan, that's a pretty fuckin desperate shot even for you, lol) ... doesnt matter if the event is something I like or dislike ... what matters is whether I'd be creating a maintenance nightmare.

    In ANY directory I'd say adding a site for an individual year of a World Handball Championship (or Nascar event, Hot-dog Eating Contest, Nose-Picking Championship, or similar typical small-minded US sporting events :p) would be an error unless the maker had a history of building sites for an individual year and leaving them up in perpetuity... while adding a site that contains both past and current events of the same nature would be fine.

    Bear in mind I don't edit there anymore and even while there I couldnt force my own editorial discretion on other editors, so if there's someone editing a section that doesnt mind the pain associated with putting up stuff that'll require heavy maintenance, I dont think it's bright, but I'm not that guy's keeper either.

    You can (and likely will of course) bitch about it til hell freezes over, but there's a discretionary component there that has to be taken into account whether you like it or not.

    Without access to logs we can only guess if there is favoritism towards something and I really don't want to waste time to look if there is category for cricket, darts, rodeo or snooker tournaments per year... :D

    @Gworld.

    Never had the pleasure of meeting Makrhod. I certainly could praise her because she provides accurate, factual information. As for attacking anyone that "dosent agree with her"........ I somehow feel that she can look after herself ;) She certainly dosent need me, nor any other editor, to defend her opinions.

    The only rules to get your site listed are:

    1. You are an Editor and will only list your own sites.
    2. You are the friend of an Editor and your site does not conflict with theirs.

    If those are the "rules" you would follow as an editor, it seems your unsuccessful attempts to become one were a Good Thing (tm) for the directory.

    With the corruption and dictatorial way how ODP promote their listing service , and the way how you guy's choose to '' share the love '' it's hard to believe someone really care about this damn it crap spam link directory . This is only bullshits about keeping an official advertising campaign ! Just with the reason to keep public interest about the directory alive , to increase the revenue generated for peoples with you colaborate ( for example mods from this forum ) ...

    MODS FROM THIS FORUM ARE EDITORS THERE OR THEY ARE CONTROL BY EDITORS LIKE A DOLL , JUST TO COVER THE DIRTY WHICH SOMETIME COME OUT FROM THE CORRUPT PEOPLES ON THE DIRECTORY ARE LISTED SPAM SITES SINCE YEARS AND NONE CARE ABOUT THEM ON THE DIRECTORY ARE EVEN REDIRECT LINKS DAMN IT WHICH YOUR SHIT TOOLS WHICH YOU GUYS CLAIM TO HAVE ARENT FINDING THEM ,

    ONLY LYIES ABOUT HAVING TOOLS . ABOUT HAVING RULES AND SO ON . DMOZ IS JUST ANOTHER FKIN LISTING SERVICE WHICH NEED TO BE COVERED SOMEHOW AND BEST PRACTICE WICH SOME OF THE CORRUPT PEOPLES CAN DO TO KEEP THIS SHIZE OPEN ALLWAYS ITS TO PROMOTE ON QUITE LARGE FORUM COMUNITY LIKE THIS .

    Only lyies , and spam about this directory , including the so respected Jim which he's seems to control some of the mods from there and with sure he's control the damn it directory .
