CTRL + Scroll. I love it.. Just love being able to zoom into my screen bit by bit. Especially with this big (heh) screen. Other than that, Apple + Tab ( switch between programs ), and Apple + 1/2/3.. etc to browse through tabs in Firefox.
THANKYOU! Personally I use Alt+T for a new tab in Firefox a lot, and I ALWAYS use CTRL+arrow keys to move around text.
ok, when typing information into a form, like making a yahoo id, we use to press tab to go to the next text area. you can press shift + tab to go to the previous text area. here are a few windows switch shortcuts. windows + r = run windown + d = show desktop, that minimises every thing. ever used the print screen, if not then try this. press the print screen, and then open your ms paint. then press cont + v. to see your desktop. alt + cont + del, to restart the computer, but here is one more use of it. on the screen, where you chose the user to login in your computer, press alt + cont + del twice, and you will get a admin login option. this is the real admin account of your xp, which we don't use too often. alt + f4, is used to close active window. cont + f4 is used to close document window. alt + tab is used to choose between running programes. alternative for the windows switch, is cont + esc. brings up the start menu. press the shift key 5 times and the stickey keys is activated. this means, we can press the key combinations separately. like alt then after that cont and then del, not together, and it still will work. nice! there are lot's of such key combination, anyways cheers!
Hey! I never new there were so many!! The only ones that I ever use are control-x, control-c, and control-p.
Thanks Doe sit work in windows too then? I foud out about it earlier by accident.. was like a little child when I found out about it xD
i set up loads of short cut keys for my desktop. so its ctrl + alt + c to start up my internet connection a real necessity
i use ctrl s for save a lot, ctrl n for new, f2 for renaming, and the good old copy and past shortcuts.
Col. I hate you I did all that you had mentioned and my PC got hanged Anyways I most oftenly use Ctrl + Z , Crtl + A , Ctrl + V , Ctrl + X , Shift + Delete, Crtl + C
just click once on a icon, that you want to rename. now it get's selected. after that, click on the text lebel of the icon. you can rename that way. lot better to do right click, and select rename, i guess!!
There is a easier way that I use. In Firefox go to "Tools >> Options >> Advanced" and then under accessability select "Begin finding when you begin typing" Then anything you type on your keyboard will be entered into the find field automatically. It doesn't work if you have selected a form object (textbox ect) which is a good thing.
