what are the most important factoctor to rank well in yahoo

In google I guess back link is the biggest factor, I have site with more than 100,000 back links in yahoo but don't even position to 30 for my main keyword...

 

you can write the article on your main keyphrase and start submittin it to the article directory and make hyperlink properly on your article within 15 days you will see the result.

 

Content is king for yahoo. the more you update your site with fresh contents. the higher you rank.

Yes, I agree. Contens are the most important factor in Yahoo. 100,000 backlinks are a lot. How did you get that many? is your site old?

 

get as much content on your site as possible,. i beleive that yahoo wants content, content and content.

 

Your right ichigo, fresh content is the most important thing to rank well in yahoo. I have sites there, with lower backlinks but updated more often. I updated it using an php script, so this site updated automatically. And it works well for me.

Of course, as you already know, the fresh content is not the only one factor.

Also another thing it depends on the competition.

If you have 100,000 backlinks.. and someone has more than you.

Then you will rank higher then you.

 

i have my website for about 1.8 months now and i still dun see any yahoo bots crawling in...any idea how?

 

same problem with me ........i got First rank in google for some keyword but yahoo does not see my results.......in first 100 also.......whatz wrong with me ???

backlink + content + domain age only matters to get well rank in yahoo ???

for yahoo, mostly fresh updated content but lots of links too

my site is 3 years old may be that is the reason why I got that number of back link... but wondering why I am only getting 30-40 unique from yahoo... I update the site regularly also...

 

From my experience , I'll say for Yahoo points below are more important:

1. Title & Meta tags are more important here . If the keyword is in Title and Meta tags then your page will rank higher in Yahoo.

2. Keyword density should be on the higher side for Yahoo. Google might punish you for that. Your page should have a lot of content as well.

3. Lots of backlinks ( even if it is from your own site ) . For Google backlinks should be text links. Ideally text of links should contain the keywords or it should be from the sites, having those keywords.

4. It helps, if you've have the keywords in your URL. While creating the directory structure, you should give it a thought. This point is more relevant to Google.

Remeber that a few things that might help you for Yahoo, may not be good for Google.

I think content is the most powerful to rank well in yahoo. Yahoo gives more importance on site contents.

 

if you have that many backlinks and you have more than your competition then maybe you should take a look at on page factors. proper layout H1, bold, italics, lists ect.

also your 100,000 links might not be worth much. nofollow tag, sitewide links, lots of links with the same anchor text.
