What are the most creative marketing ideas you have used or heard of?

Traditional marketing and advertising is too expensive and in my opinion old and boring. What else can we do to spice things up?

1. Social Networking sites over the past couple years have become a huge marketing tool.

2. What about the concept of Snapple facts? What about place advertising and marketing under all caps from Poland Spring to Gatorade.

What else can we come up with??

I'm a big fan of body advertising - as in, turn a beautiful woman into a walking billboard for your site/brand, and send her through high traffic areas where you know people will be staring/gawking at her!

 

People love free content. Ever considered using torrents? There are no rules and nobody monitors/controls your exposure. The smarter you are at titling your torrent, the more exposure you can get almost instantly.

The most visitors I have had to one site via torrent marketing within 24 hours was a little over 5,000.

 

i've never used any creative marketing strategies.

Well the gas station near my house has advertising on top of the gas pumps. Its eye catching and from what research I have done very cheap. I think the web site is wwwdotParamountadsdotcom. I live near Ventura Boulevard and I think they have around 10 gas stations in this location from what I have seen. Check it out, it might be an inexpensive and effective method.

 

This is an interesting idea! I do a highly regional website. I'm going to hit up some of my local gas stations and see what they might charge.

 

Well I saw this in youtube..1 girl was stripping her clothes and in that vid, the website is rolling around...LOL

 

In the Warrior Forum there is a thread about Traffic Secrets 2.0 which got 200 or more posts. These are really, really good Internet marketing strategies.

 

I believe that paramountads.com is a member of the forum. I asked them to advertise some products for me and what gaurantee they have that my competitors wont use the same advertising and they said its patented and they give you exclusivity if you advertise with them. Exclusivity meaning if your a Car detail shop they will only advertise your company at the location.

 

Hmmm. For me I'm not good in creative stuff but I appreciate work done by the marketing team.
