Absolutely nothing. It's my favourite platform to work on. Wordpress extend has everything and I would recommend themeforest.com

For me, it was making my site look less 'bloggy.' In other words it took a while to make my site look like a real site and not some 14 year old girl's LiveJournal =)

Yea. This is a requirement for some people and some people find it a trouble. As Wordpress is no longer used as just a Blogging Platform.

My common problems is actually the updates, I am scared it breaks my blog someday LOL. I know we can restore it in a few minutes but it requires times and patience, things that I avoid :(

You can actually make a wordpress blog look like a static website. It all depends on your theme you are using. So many business websites use wordpress, and people don't know it. A lot of people actually ask, "how do I check if a site use wordpress". This is because you can customize your wordpress site looks as you like, to be a non bloggy or bloggy sites.

    Ahaha!
    Exactly the same problem!
It always takes time to choose a good theme and then make it look better.

It's far better then Joomla! thats just buggy. And if you need any extensions you have to pay. Plugin wise I would recommend All in one seo, contact7, googlesitemap wpsecurityscanner and theres loads more!

I have built over 50 wordpress sites and have never had any problems with wordpress! I love wordpress and it just keeps getting better and better. The only thing I would watch out for is installing too many plugins because sometimes they can clash and cause your site to be slow or not work properly. Now I only install plugins that are absolutely necessary and I deleted all the ones I'm never going to use. I learned this the hard way of course!

I would say that the only problems I've come across with Wordpress are third party solutions. Either themes or plugins that are not kept up to date when Wordpress is updated. I guess technically not having advanced html knowledge to fix/make my own themes past basic changes is a 'problem' as well but that falls more into the line of my knowledge limits and not Wordpress itself.

Wordpress as a blogging, magazine, and front end website CMS runs great and I've never really seen a major 'problem' with the software since I started using it. While I originally started having a mix of homemade websites over time all of them have converted to some form of a CMS or custom based script and for the CMS's Wordpress is the only one that handles all of my needs.

I absolutely agree with this. Most plugins are not necessary. Especially SEO and content generation and styling plugins. The more plugins you use, the more problems you will have.

The most comman problem was with me the theme selection and the right plugin. Plugins like facility holder template or plugins, it was a great problem.
