Hi there DP. I think this is the correct place to post this, so I will go ahead. Someone has commented my blog and linked me to this company called OVH, dedicated servers. I have been searching for dedicated server for a very long time now, these people seem extremely cheap, and unmetered bandwidth so that is a major plus for me. I've tried google translating their ToS, but all it said was that the customer must comply with the internet laws in that country... So, what are the laws in France regarding hosting "bad" files? I run iPod Touch/iPhone repositories, so users can download files directly from the device without needing a PC. I host GBA, Nes, Snes, PSX ROMs. I tried going on ovh.com/en/ ToS, but it links to the French one, and the prices on the EN site are much higher than FR. http://www.ovh.com/fr/particulier/produits/superplan2008.xml - ToS is at the bottom somewhere, for anyone who understands French. Also, what are the laws in Holland, and Sweden, regarding hosting of those files? Thanks for reading Oh, for more information on the repo: http://hackeralert.org/we-need-a-new-server#comment-243
Hello, As long as you provide legal content, there should be no problem. OVH doesn't want streaming, video and mirrors on their servers. If you want, simply drop your questions and I will ask OVH about your inquieries in French. Regards Thibaut
most roms are in breach of copyright so you are going to have issues finding a host that will let you use them. Also, dont go for unlimited bandwidth, it is a terrible business model and screams unsustainable/ poor service etc
