What are the latest techniques for doing SEO apart from Blog, Forum,Article, Bookmarking....???????????
Wow that is a big question, I can definitly add my two cents . How about video marketing? building web 2.0 properties? Building social media profiles? Buying high PR page links? Theme sponsorship? the list would go on if I had the patience... I dont think there are any new and revolutionary ways of building backlinks, there is simply new strategies on how best to use the good old links. E.g. pyramids, wheels and other stuctures that just branch all over the place.
I still think there is some value in niche directories so add that in the mix. Also guest blogging is growing in popularity at the moment.
Nothing new here but recently webmaster change working style. They only focus only quality work and avoid spamming work.
Comment posting is the superb technique now a days in SEO and "web 2.0 properties" called Link wheel is also going well now.

Before that update all you needed to do was buy and/or trade links with your target keyword in the link anchor text, and after enough repetition you stood a good chance of ranking.
The better techniques usually used in SEO is link building, Press release, Reciprocal, Comment Posting, Classified, Yellow Page, Yahoo answer.So these listed technique are the better source apart form......blog....
