what are the disadvantages of dropped domains?

    I am planning to buy one domain which was registered in 2003 then dropped. Again registered in 2008. so it is currently 3 year old after new registration.

    do you think it will lose any seo value?

    any help is appreciated

    I don't think so until it has bad reputation. But there is a chance to get benefited with the backlinks (old back-links). I suggest you to search on the google, so that we can confirm that if there is any bad reputation. Also use backlink checker tools to check if it has any backlinks.
