    I have been using paypal for years. Paypal has never given me any trouble. The general rule is you don't wan to keep money in your paypa account. As soon as you get paid, withdraw your funds.

    I use Alertpay, Plimus, Dwolla, and Venmo. Dwolla charges just 25 cents for receiving money, and Venmo is free.
