What Are the Common Mistakes to Avoid in SEO?

Hey everyone,

Although I'm aware of the common mistakes done on SEO, still i'm looking forward to you guys on listing the mistakes you might have encountered in your SEO journey.

Hope this will help those who are still figuring out why SEO is not working for them.

The following are proven techniques to either avoid or implement to your site to boost traffic.
* Poor content
* Confusing PPC without SEO
* Not cross linking
* The Lack of Authority and so on.

 

Here are the things which I avoid.

1. Too much of keyword stuffing
2. Comment spamming
3. Using fiverr for seo's
4. Copied content / poor quality articles

 

The list is huge :

- Not having a more natural looking link profile
- Not having backlinks from various platforms.
- Not correcting On Page SEO as the first step.
- Targeting the wrong keywords
- Using automated backlinking tools to generate backlinks. ( A Big NO)
- Not Using Social Media Marketing along with SEO.
- Building links from irrelevant sites etc etc etc.

 

IMHO I think it's not necessary to talk about PPC, SMM and etc here
it's like:
- Hi, my engine is overheating
- Hi, don't forget to check your tires and look here - you have a huge scratch on the left fender

On-Page factors (content, tags etc) and backlinks with right keywords on right sites is the way to success... in SEO.

 

use Only White hat SEO techniques for better ranking.....

 

Poor content and use of black hat SEO techniques should be avoided totally. These are two things which are really hampering website ranking.

 

- Spamming/creating mass backlink especially for a new website, better to make a bit of quality backlinks than making lots of poor backlinks.
- Unrelated backlink, don't create backlinks from the site that have niche which not related to yours.
- Using software for get auto backlinks
- Duplicate and poor content, if you not a good writer better you buy from the profesional writer.
- Stuffing keyword
- etc..etc..etc...

 

Poor quality content. Keyword stuffing. Use of wrong keywords.

 

The biggest problem is UNIQUE content.. Then, it should be gramatically correct (especially not spun!). Also don't spam to get backlinks!

Some of the mistakes in SEO are poor content. Content is important for a interested client to learn about your service/product. Also with post that have the same descriptions that can be classified as spams or boring. And the error of not putting links of your site or blogs in your posts, promotions or ads.

 

don't use duplicate content, don't use keywords many times, and don't make the Spam back links.

• Try to write something new that helps readers.
• Study enough and be accurate before making any statement in your contents.
• Try to get latest ideas about search engines algorithms when doing SEO.
• Try to be active on different online platforms related to your niche.
• Always do white hat SEO.

Not DOs

• Do not make content that is copied from other contents.
• Don't forget to do keyword research and competitor analysis for a good keyword.
• Don't forget to optimize keywords and meta tags properly before publishing your content.
• Don't make keyword stuffing.
  
• Avoid making irrelevant and low quality back links.
  
• Don't do back link from a link farm content.
• Don't follow black hat method.
  
• Do not follow paths which are not liked by any search engine.
