What Are The Chances Someone Like Me Can Be A Programming Intern?

I am in my first year of college and am almost done with a vb,c and robotics class, and my programming logic has grown tenfold. I tried web designing before school but programming seems to be where my heart and soul is. Is there any chance of me getting some type of internship in this point in time? If so where? I live in Los Angeles. But if not, would there be a way for me to work in the programming environment until I learn more?

There's no way to know unless you look around. I'd first start at your school, see if there are any companies interviewing on campus for internships. If you have any friends or family, also ask them to see if they have any connections.

Connection is the best resource. Without it, you will do the normal way.

Companies do prefer referrals than walk-ins. :D

Okay then, I will definitely look around and make connections. My teachers love me because I'm new but I'm able to keep up with the most experienced in class and if not, then I'm at the top of the class. Its my first year, so I know most likely they could refer me to some company. I will also look around online for companies
