What are the chances for getting on Google's 1st or 2d pages?

One company called a friend of mine and told him that they can easily get his site on at least the 2d page of Google. They charge $1500 for their services. They have a high reputation among the SEO companies.

Is it a bunch of BS or does it really work? You can't just put what you want on Google, or can you?

 

Depend on the KW and Competitor. Sure thing that it will not happen over night, it takes time. May be a month, 6 months or years.

 

Yes, It is true that we can improve website ranking in SERPs by doing SEO. But sometime it also depends on competition of keywords you target on websites.

 

It's always depends on the keyword that your wanting to rank for and how much competitors are fighting you to rank for the same keyword, but it will help us understand how this company trying to do this, if you give us more information about this company.

 

$1,500 for page 2?

Not worth it. AT ALL.

 

I 100% agree with JSProjects,you'd be wasting $1,500 as nobody bothers to go to page 2 when they are searching.

Whatever $1500 is too much.

Here is my simple equation for good rankings :

Quality content + Simple SEO Technique + Few social Backlinks (Twitter,facebook etc) = Good Rankings

 

Well, let's say 30 websites in the same niche have quality content, their webmasters used great SEO techniques and the websites have a bunch of social backlinks. This scenario is quite possible. The truth is only 10 of them will get on the 1st page, 2d page, etc. So, if my friend comes with a website that is in the same niche, how will he get even on the 2d page of Google?

That's awesome. How long did it take for you to get on the 2d page before you got on the 1st page?

 

Sure, it's possible. But how long it takes to rank on the first or second page of Google depends on what keyword(s) you want to rank for -- competitive keywords will take much longer.

Yup, depending on your keyword, getting on the first page isn't too difficult. Just gotta find a niche with the least competitors.

 

You know, if you want to get this high position in the Google, you should work on you site very precisely. This work will get form you a lot of time. You need to spend more than half a year or one year to get such marvelous result.

 

For $1500 i would want top of page one. It is possible for the right keyword or phrase but SEO can take some time. Use on site and off site SEO to get results. Google "SEO Best Practices" and you will find some good info.

 

Shouldn't be hard depending on what you are targetting, it's taken me around a week to rank in the top 5 pages for several search terms.

Page 2 of about 1,320,000 results
Page 1 of About 4,580,000 results (5th result actually wow, didn't notice that this morning)

 

$1500 is way too much to spend unless you are guaranteed first page results

 

No it doesn't work, and will probably just steal your money... don't use it.
