what are the categories are important for a directory?

    Hi guys.
    I want to know from your real time experience what are the categories are important for a directory?

    Can you suggest best categories.. Some directory may focus only one particular category but while consider global which are very important..

    general directories have huge amount of categories you can choose easily

    You should create an unique category structure, never use the category mysql dump.

    Doesn't matter how many categories you make, you are going to see submissions in loans category and web directories category the most ;-) (or the top level for these two).

    Building unique category structure is not easy, maintaining it is even more difficult. I have often lived 'without' a shopping category in my directories. Most submissions are amazon / ebay affiliates anyway.
