I am curious what people like shoemoney and will spencer are using for their CMS system(s). I am just starting out and I want to make the right decisions from the start for the websites I am developing. I'd hope to find something modular, that upon logging in; I can choose which website to update and then go from there.. Is there such a thing?
I don't think most big webmasters use a cms for every site, let alone one cms...if you want a network of sites, I know that KnowMoreMedia uses MoveableType...I don't know how much hacking is involved to get it to be networked well. I use php-nuke, vbadvanced, wordpress, and movabletype for a few of my sites...some are html with php includes.
Most big players get a custom built CMS, I am currently considering this as an option, as many CMS are just too cumbersome The best of the bunch of true CMS's in my opinion is Joomla. And if your looking for a blog type, then Wordpress set to page mode is also great.
Yea, that was my guess.. that most used a custom setup. I guess I better get hacking.. I have a feeling.. that I wont be satisfied unless I make it myself.
