I am curious what people like shoemoney and will spencer are using for their CMS system(s).

I am just starting out and I want to make the right decisions from the start for the websites I am developing.

I'd hope to find something modular, that upon logging in; I can choose which website to update and then go from there.. Is there such a thing?

I don't think most big webmasters use a cms for every site, let alone one cms...if you want a network of sites, I know that KnowMoreMedia uses MoveableType...I don't know how much hacking is involved to get it to be networked well.

I use php-nuke, vbadvanced, wordpress, and movabletype for a few of my sites...some are html with php includes.

Most big players get a custom built CMS, I am currently considering this as an option, as many CMS are just too cumbersome :( The best of the bunch of true CMS's in my opinion is Joomla. And if your looking for a blog type, then Wordpress set to page mode is also great.

Yea, that was my guess.. that most used a custom setup. I guess I better get hacking.. I have a feeling.. that I wont be satisfied unless I make it myself.

I'm using a customised (SEO'd) version of Geeklog for most of my sites.
