    One of the best way to promote your forum is to participate at other people's forum. You can also take part in forum post exchange . One of the worst ways to promote your forum however is to hire forum posters, quality of their post is often quite poor.

    Other ways to promote your forum includes the usual way such as:
    - SEO
    - Twitter
    - Facebook
    - directory submission

    You can also use SEO plug-ins that will help your forum get placed faster. Also, keep the spammers out and moderate it well so that the quality stays high. People want to hang out where they feel comfortable. We have a very popular forum within a particular niche and I can tell you that the quality of the information there is a big factor, as well as the people.
