Hello everyone, I recently launched a social network for Bloggers which basically allows its bloggers to enter their Google Adsense ID and earn from each and every approved post by any blogger. Currently, I only use Google Adsense as well as custom Ads. From your experience, what's the best way to monetize a blog? Is there anything better than Google Adsense? Thanks, Marc
So for CPC, Adsense is pretty much the best out there right? To be honest I don't want to flood the site with ads. For the time being, I just have simple ads like this: http://renzybenzy.seekopia.com/post/the-dark-horse--kris-allen/572 (on the top right). Would you suggest changing anything to improve the CTR? Also, you mentioned CB, is there something like Google Adsense which automatically promotes Affiliate Products, based on the page's content? Thanks Marc
Sometimes you may make more with a affiliate program that is in your niche rather than adsense such as if your running a dating blog match.com's affiliate program might be worth checking into.
Monetizing your blog is easy if you have plenty of website visitors who check your website on daily basis. Google AdSense might not be the best when you want to monetize your website, but that's a good start. I think you should put up a section where you can let others to approach you if they want to advertise on your website. Research your market and find out what are the rates that advertisers pay for sites in the same niche. You might even want to approach the site owners who provide products / services that cater to your blog readers to see if they're interested to promote it on your blog.
And here I thought adsense was unbeatable. For those of you not using adsense, what are you using and why did you chose it. When it comes to ads, all I know are adsense and adbrite. Edit: I also use widgetbucks.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I use widget bucks. Haven't been getting much from it, but then again, my traffic isn't that high (in fact, it's too low).
1. Self-Published Books: If your readers like your content, they may want to have something they can own offline or even share with friends. Create a book with self-publishing services like Lulu, and you'll earn profits even without a huge book deal. 2. Printfection.com: Design and sell custom products with Printfection.com. Hard-Copy Content: Create a CD-ROM "book" with cleanly organized content that can be accessed offline. You can take things a step further and sell subscriptions for future updates to the system. 3. GoodStorm: Like CafePress.com and Printfection.com, GoodStorm is a nice way to create and sell your own merchandising products.
