    Link buying and exchanging links from others quite a bit hard in pocket and exchanging links also resided in the authority of your site.. Most powerful thing that you could do is blog,compose,comment.. this could provide link juices.. You could introduce your site in some forums also..

    Some most popular way to make external link is submit articles, blogs, Press Releases, directory submission, forums posting, RSS Submission...and promote through Social Networking Sites like Twitter, MySpace, Digg, Delicious.

    Start with Blog commenting. It's easy and still works the best.

    If you want to get even more links you'll need to start using software. Doing it by hand just takes way too much time.

    But according to google and other search engines they more prefer manually rather then software submission. The basic need of SEO is submit articles, blogs, Press Releases, directory submission, forums posting, RSS Submission and if we talk about blog commenting is the last step of Off page activities. But the best way to increase traffic t your site is promote videos of own products and services provided by you.

    Here are some ways to build external links..........

    1, Write articles and submit them to EzineArticles, GoArticles, iSnare, etc. Good articles will get you more external links highly qualified traffic.
    2, Submit your site to DMOZ or other directories. This is an old way. But still very useful today, I think.
    3, Ask or answer questions in Yahoo! , forums or blogs with providing your website link. Remember, don't be spamer when you do this.
    4, Buy or exchange links with some high PR website. Contact the webmasters of these websites and say what do you want to do.
    5, Publish an RSS feed and make the content useful and updated.
    6, Find ways to link to authority website in your area, although maybe it is very hard for you.
    7, Create a list of best companies or experts in your area. They may link back to you and show off their ability.
    8, Buy traffic from GOOGLE, Yahoo or MSN. Some one may find your site and link to you or exchange links with you.
    9, Write new, good, unique content for your website. Others will find you and link to you to use your good content.
    10, Set up blog in some main blog sites, such as blogger, google community and so on.

    External links? what do you mean by that? Are you asking for creating a hyperlink to other websites on your website? or asking about link building? Both are answerable, as follows:

    building a hyper link is so easy, for that we do have a option within a blog post editor with a globe symbol, with that we can insert a link to other websites from ours.
    and to build backlinks, we have to perform some off-page seo tasks like directory submission, article submission, guest blogging etc.

    Check out your competitors on Alexa.com and see who their strongest PR Ranking links are from.Visit those sites and see if you can add your own.Do this with several competitors and you will start to build it up :)
