Yes there is always a way to be shocked, there was a guy with most of his body cut off up in Cleveland in a drug killing and even the police could not look at it without losing their dinner. So I know you have seen a lot, but until you see total destruction like we have in Iraq or had in Vietnam then you really can not say you can not be shocked. But I think you are saying in the course of a normal life with folks you meet in the real world, not crime scenes or war. I do understand what you are getting at, but at the same time you can see by the above examples that even those who are hardened can be shocked.
I am not easily shocked, but I am sickened and saddened by the depths that some human stoop to in conflicts like Iraq & Vietnam. I am saddened at how badly some people stoop and then say they do it in the name of religion (or other such thing). Re the original post. The two things that I value most are Honesty & Loyalty.
