I thought I could feel my ears burning. Sasa, get your facts straight, I haven`t stolen anything from an0n. Every single mod I have developed was coded by me, from scratch.

And comparing his PR with mine? WTF

 

I do not see any different if someone invent similar mod. SEO Friendly URL's & there is few other mod like Closed Category Mod. I had this mods since day one on my www.wamchu.com & which is now nearly 3 years old. So i see people selling this mode to others. It dose not mean that they have copied but they have made different version of it. Good luck to them. So i see no problem if they go there own version.

Look - I am not coder. I have simply paid someone to design me directory. I have given him my requirement.
So I will ask him to change it.

 

I think the thread was about a guy asking for the best mods for PHPLD right??? ok so where were we.......???

 

This is not a post to promote my mods but some thougths from experince running tons of different mods on my dirs.

1. Deep links mods is very attractive for submitters. (distributed by AnOn)
2. Multiple categories (very new) - same as above, can be even more interesting for submitters.
3. Pagerank stats or A-Z links, URL - rewrites - all those mods are superb for your directory indexation in SE. Can really boost number of indexed pages.
4. Sponsorship mods - a way to have some additional incomes.
5. Promotional code (think it's AnOn's) - also nice to attract submitters.
6. All mods that prevents spammy submissions - must have to protect your dirs.

7. Rest are just nice additions to make your site more attractive look!

Telling the truth, some solutions I will not share as I prefer to keep it for myself, just to differ my dirs from the rest.

 

Can you please tell me more about this?

That one allows the submitter to submit to multiple categories on one submission. I read it here.
