    I love commentics for establishing commenting on my pages... great program and easy to use... and looks great. I always need pictures too, so I use freedigitalphotos.net... a lot of great photos for FREE.

    I think the program GIMP is the best, it is free and if you go on youtube there are a lot of tutorials that go in depth to learn a lot of cool tools. I make all my banners for my http://mortgagebrokeremaillist.com . Go check my banners out to see what I am talking about. If you don't want to spend 199 on a photoshop program and still make great designs for your website, download it!

    Dreamweaver is really good design tool if you do very simple website or you are very experienced designer or you have plenty of time to spend. Unfortunately, none of those applies to me so I am going to use one of CMS programs to build my next website. Of course, I will also Dreamweaver but only for just clean the code of unnecessary stuff.

    For html and css coding Notepad++ is good choice and it is really free. Photoshop is the best for image editing but I am not sure it is free. Probably not. I know nothing about Palettes. What is it then?

    For editing CSS, HTML and PHP files, you can use Notepad++ and Kompozer both are good.
    For transferring FTP files FlashFXP is good. Apart from this you can use wordpress and Filezilla for window only..!
