What are the best free tools to detect duplicated content

    Copyscape is good. Even though it won't give all the results, but it is still fairly useful to find if the content is copied from some other website or not.

    Use Google search engine. Search for a bit of text to see if other web pages have published the content.

    grab a sentence and search for it in quotes. Its what the other tools do anyway, but its free.

    I think you should tryout Grammarly. It will not only check duplicate content but will also score the content for grammar. You can test if for free for as many times or can acquire paid membership.

    I use copyscape. It is not free but it is very cheap.
