The most popular affiliate programs may not nessasarily be the ones that are best - or most profitable for you and your site.

At the end of the day you have to really weigh up the type of traffic you are attracting and figure out which services/products they are most likely to be interested in.

Popular seem to be Adsense, YPN, Amazon, etc. Just because they are popular doesn't mean they will be good for you. Infact they could be worse as there are so many using them that you will only end up offer similar ads / products.

I agree with other, the most popular may not be whats best for you.

If you already have sites set up then Clickbank or CJ may be the best attempt to find products in your particular niche.

If your a newbie and want to get involved in affiliate marketing then you should be looking for people who have great support.

I have found what i believe to be the affiliate program with the best support ever, they review my sites, talk to me on icq/skype and the community is great

Read my blog for more info

The niche you're in greatly determine which affiliate programs you should get.

Personally like ClickBank as it seems to have products related to my nichessss.

If you don't mind me asking, which programs on webmasterlife would you recommend? Are you running all of them? Do you think I could start to make some money with my budget? I'm on a $5.00 a day budget. Isn't this a competitive niche? Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hello Stephen! Based on a survey, the most active sector of Affiliate Marketing are those programs that belong to the adult and entertainment section followed by Shopping and Electronics or Gadget.

scifin is correct. If you wish to become a successful affiliate. You have to determine first what kind of customers or audience would you like. What sort of products do you feel comfortable in promoting?

You'll see that you'll be faced with lots of good stories to hear and inspiring testimonials. But don't be deceived. After all, it will always be your choice.

Hello kidlntg! What's with e-book Affiliate Program? Most of the e-business are giving away e-books for free so don't you think it's not worth your time promoting e-books?

Try many to find what works for you as what may work for me may not work for you... so key is try or contact them first to find out what offers they have.

Popular is not always the best. It depends on your niche. Sometimes it is best to research the merchant before earning a paycheck from them. Nothing worse than joining the best to have your links fail or merchant not respond to important emails.

That being said Adsense may work better for one site than YPN. I find AuctionAds work well into my sites. Some swear by Azoogle. It really depends on what you are trying to do or promote.
