    I don't offer any benefits other than an e-mail address, as they are volunteer moderators; they are getting exactly what they applied for: the chance to help maintain the forum.

    Hired moderators should be well-liked and repped members of a forum before they're hired. So normally they're more than happy to moderate a forum that they love and spend alot of time on.
