Feeds are a one-way form of communication. Yes, you can generate interesting content, but it does not provide a good way to spark interaction or discussion about that content.

Think of Twitpare.com as polls for Twitter. You could easily set up polls about different graphics/icons that people are already posting to your forum. Or have contests to spark discussions over Twitter..like "which graphic is better?" The advantage here is when your followers join the discussion over Twitter, all their followers automatically see their participation...opening up your content to a whole new audience. The key is that you don't just want people visiting FootieArts through links you put on Twitter, you want people to discuss FootieArts ON Twitter, so everyone they are connected to sees the content.

Twitter like anything else is good to expose your web site to people who never heard of it. It can't hurt checking into twitter and seeing if it benefits your business.

    Making a sale.

Their are so many ways to convert followers on twitter to blog readers. They watch twitter for a summary of your blog posts and if they like what they see they will go to your blog and hopefully click on something that generates cash.
The benefits of twitter are marginal if your using it for seo.
But if you want to monetize twitter it's pretty easy. Find a niche use tools to get followers etc.
I can't give a lesson now but believe me you can make a good buck on twitter. You just need to do it right. Don't spam & add good content.

    Hope that helps a little.

Of course there is. You're either narrow minded, or you have no idea on how to do creative marketing.

I fixed it for you, Gomer.

    Bright boy. lol

lol um, Twitter does not carry articles.

Noobs posting shit again, just to post. *rolls eyes*

And you morons wonder why you have dead sites.

    Well, okay, then.

One good tip is to get a Stumbleupon or Digg account and link the feed to friendfeed, then make friendfeed do your tweeting. Actually, why stop with social bookmarks? You can tweet any rss feed.

Twitter is a powerful tool which helps in distributing information and may help you generate business in the near future.
The benefit is that you can express and share your links with your followers.

If you have a good fan base around your forum they can be kept up to date to the posts that are being made.. it also gives your site exposure.

One of the best things is that when people do searches on a specific topic, your posts can show up and it can attract new visitors..
