    What you are doing, but you really need to look into backlinks, especially in google.

    BE WARNED! If you spam too many backlinks, google DELISTS your site. Be careful.

    To be honest, the more time and effort you put into a site, the more traffic you get. This is because your site starts looking better and more interesting.

    Use free beer advertisements. Also have one of your friends record a video of themselves introducing your website in a humorous manner even if your site is serious. I have found that humor is the best way to market anything. Seriously. What can't you sell with humor other than porn? (which I would probably click on a funny porn ad)

    Oh yea, I also think the best way to increase traffic is to exchange links. People don't always think that's the best way, but it's been the best for me. I don't have enough money to spend on ppc/all that other ad shit, so I exchange links with sites/topsites and as long as they stay alive I get traffic. Soo...
