    What techniques we need to follow these days to promote our website? I have websites related to entertainment.

    Does directories still rule the seo???

    What about Bookmarking?? should i do it for inner pages/posts or the main URL???

    Directory submission is a outdated technique, but you can submit your website to dmoz. Social bookmarking is important for getting your website to get cached quickly in google. You can do it for inner page as well, if they are your important landing page. I personally do contextual linking in my website, so that I can bookmark all important pages.

    Every off page technique is good if done properly. Make sure you do forum post and article submission in your niche.
