Hi Can anyone tell me what if any relevance domain age has on a PR rank. I know a lot of people talk about back links but I am wondering if it's worth waiting for the domain to age a little before concentrating on building back links. Also I was interested to know what effect the PR has when it comes to the sites relationship with Google. So for example I would imagine that a site with a PR of 6 would most likely do better in terms of a site with a PR of 4 if all things are equal and does a site with a higher PR value get spidered more often? Cheers Oly
Forget about PR. It doesn't mean anything unless you're selling links on a page. You could have a PR6 site yet not get any traffic from Google. I'll take traffic and revenue over PR any day.
Hi Thats what I am wondering, I have heard a few people mention that there isn't any need to focus on developing the PR value. If that is the case and the PR doesn't have too much of a bearing on site traffic, what is it used for?
The benefit of increasing your PR is that your webpage will be searched easily because it is on the top of the other websites on search engines. That is why most users work hard to get a high PR because of the website visibility. For the domain age, that would depend on the content and the relevance of the domain name.
