Hello all, As we all know that google use more then 200 signals for catching result of a query. What are that signals? I know some most common signals like: - Meta tags Title Tags Url Redicrection Server header Url depth Link buidling keyword density keyword proximity keyword prominance Contents image optimization site navigation user friendly url sitemaps robots i know only these one, these are few in the list of 200, can anyone know these 200 signals?
200 signals? is it true? i never heard about such a thing. but i know all of them that you have mentioned in the above list.
Nobody really knows about it, only Google's developers knows that. What we can do is just imagine that....One of the most important factor is domain age, which Google highly regard. Keyword in domain is also in the list.
No its true google use the meta tags as primary element like meta description that is very helpful to find out the relevency, author to recognize the author, content type to identify the coding character etc.
Have not been experiencing 200 signals. but i think with the google panda, nothing is more important from google than a good quality contents.
Yah... there are 200 signals and a consolidated list can be found here on DP :: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2182804 Ref : 200 Google Ranking Factors
Google gives more importance to all those points which are listed by skseofleet. But now a days Google does not give much importance to the meta tag. Content and keyword density is very important for Google.
Though Google may be paying attention to about 200 signals, the weightage given to most of these signals is almost negligible. It is only a few signals which receive most weightage for ranking purpose and one should pay attention to these top signals mainly. Bothering too much about smaller signals may be meaningless and wasting time and energies.
