Hi I have been wondering what some of the Topics for Websites & blogs that would be the most profitable & what is in the most demand ?. Any information or tips would be very welcome. Thanks much Craig
To be quite honest, I don't recommend going after the most profitable. I suppose you could look at the most popular and you would probably find sites like Google, YouTube, CNN, Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook, and other sites at the top of the list, but if you don't think they are hard to compete with then just look at how well go.com is doing in comparison to Google as a search engine (and they have capital). Then look at how well Google+ did in comparison to Facebook (and they have capital). It goes on and on. I'm not saying you have to be totally unique, i'm saying find your niche and one that people would be interested in hearing from you. I think the best way to look at this is if you were going to start a business in your town. I'm not going to go next door to McDonalds and build a hamburger joint. However, I could go next to McDonalds and build a place that serves the best homemade tacos, because we're not competing for the same business. The same concept applies, I don't have to mimic Facebook, I can tailor a social networking site around a specific topic. Look at gamersportal.com. It is a social networking site for gamers and they have specific gamer-related concepts throughout their website. They get it. My suggestion to you is to find something you're interested in then determining how you can build a site around that niche that will encourage people to come and visit your website. What kind of solution are providing to a need?
profitable + popular = hardrest market. profitable "markets" depends on what you want to sell and how you want to sell it. make a clickbank account and see what offers best comission. if you want to sell adsense, go for stuff like law and credit card / home loans.
if you think about the most profitable markets you are going to want to see which markets are like evergreen. meaning the is always a demand. (like money, health, fitness)
