What are some of the hottest scripts?

I would like to know what the trend is for
    php scripts, and even javascripts.

Where do you get them? Are they turnkey?
Are they easy to impliment? (and modify?)

Do they work with Dreamhost? (i hate it, but it's my host)

Think of this as an informal survey.

    Thanks for looking.

Indeed, Ajax is trendy but necessarily functional from the point of view that you think of in your website functionality and not in what is hot.

Joomla is hot, but with so many features and complications that may result excesive for a site where you are about to upload a few static content, let's say.

Dreamhost is not so well reputed when it comes to server performance, but if supporting PHP scripts should work, unless the have safe-mode turned on and your script needs this feature.

DH has turned off long variable names. They say it's not the way of the future, so they turned off that backwards-compatibility. I hate them, but I already paid for a year in advance. :(

Any other "webmaster" scripts good these days? Paypal Front Stores... Turnkeys, arcades...etc?

With this information in mind, you can try some of these that might work over your hosting service: www.opensolution.org

I don't know if this will be of interest to anyone but I've decided to attempt a more formal analysis of which PHP script types get the most attention on hotscripts.

I'm going to base my analysis on the number of hits received for each script and the time since each script was last updated. The idea being that for each category I'll end up with a score of 'x' hits per day per script.

I've already collected all the data I need. All I need to do now is analyse it.
