I've built a website and I'm trying to increase my traffic. What is dome of the best directory submissions out there? I went on google and typed that in and got www.best-web-directories.com, www.submitedge.com, and a few more.
I was looking at google, and found this site http://www.wmhaven.com/. Is it a scam? I heard a lot of people say that you have to becareful with some companies.
Thanks for posting that link, I just signed up with that and submitted my link to that directory submission. how many directory submissions can you be on to generate at least 300 or 400 guts a day on your website and what are the most popular ones?
what is the normal amount of directory submissions that people submit to in order to receive a lot of traffic?
I also see that some of these submission directories charging an annal fee or monthly fee, I signed up with DMOZlist yesterday for the free version. Where is some other submission directories that are free and is popular?
The best web directories to submit to are ... 1. Directories that specialize in sites like yours, aka niche directories. 2. Directories that are reviewed for quality by others such as the list found on http://info.vilesilencer.com/ Directories advertised on the Solicitations section of this forum are often new and are more likely to add your submission quickly. Only a handful of those directories will grow to something of value but for now they can help get a site quickly indexed. Directory submissions alone will not likely lead to 300-400 guests? a day. It will take building a website worth visiting, doing proper on-page SEO and building links from all sorts of websites not just directories. The link provided is to a site that I am not affiliated with but is one of the most actively updated and quality-conscious directory listings on the web that I know of.
Here's another list of web directories. You can use the search on the site to narrow the list to your niche, PR, traffic, etc.
Well , If you are realling looking for Value to your submissions Then First get it submitted to 1.) DMOZ 2.) Yahoo Well What I do is I always check if website is listed in DMOZ and its easier i use whois.sc Well if you take any reputed website you will find they are listed in DMOZ and Yahoo directory The best way to check is using whois.sc They will immediately tell you whether its listed in DMOZ, Yahoo etc Not only does it provides you this listing but other info which I thought to share SEO Score, Title relvancy Alexa ranking, Quantcast Rank Visitors by country, region Just thought to share as I believe first things first is to go for DMOZ and YAHOO thats all you are 50% done with your submitting Again this are my personal thoughts
Check out the directory list such as directory critic and directory rate, And then select the right one to submit to.
directory critic is a good source of dirs though the information isn't updated. As free directories tend to become paid soon or later when you start searching about free drectories and you submit your site, you will be asked for a reciprocal link or some fee... stardir.org/?Articles=StarDir+Best+Free+Directories+List
I must appreciate as in paid and free directory submission with the PR. In this thread have lots of directory list. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Be careful, companies like submitedge.com own all the directories they list you on so you end up with hundreds of links from the same IP all with names like doodle1.info, doodle2.info etc.
