What are some inexpensive reliable web hosts?

I'm looking for a host that is inexpensive and reliable.

I plan on making a bunch of small sites, so obviously I don't need like unlimited space & bandwidth.

I prefer hosts that cost less than $5 monthly, and allow you to pay monthly instead of annually.

    Recommend me some hosts? Thanks.

P.S. They must have a site too.

    Hey Dan,

Your recommendations are very small indeed & I would be more than happy to say that Shared Webhosting would be the way to go. As you said your requirements will not need Unlimited Space or Bandwdith which is a good kick, I would recommend MDD Hosting as a top host which I host my Forum with & they are very good.

Their prices are not less than $5.00, However, If you are after a reliable Host under $5.00 then you may want to look for Resellers or even the oversellers.

Most hosts are reliable excpet for your one-night-stoppers in which take and run, This is why I would always recommend you do some research into a Host before making a purchase to avoid such mis-fortune as it does hapopen!

As far as your options go, Many hosts will allow Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually & Annually Payments :) So that would not be a big issue. However, Some hosts do offer a percentage off on Annual hosting.

Again I emphasise that you do some research before making an order to save the hassle of running into trouble.

    Good Luck
    Sean

If you are ready to spend 6.99 bucks a month, nothing can beat doreo.com :)
Thay are famous for their reliability and uptime.
And they also have an option to pay monthly, quarterly or annually.
I guess this is the best host you can get as per your requirements.

Considering they oversell & the OP stated - so obviously I don't need like unlimited space & bandwidth. then I do not think that Just Host would be his rightful choice.

@Scoopy, Why does the OP need a Mini Reseller Plan?
He can use Add-on Domains to add his projects or use them under sepertate folders or Sub-Domains in a Shared Account?

That reseller plan allows up to 25 domains hosted for $5.33/mo... whereas, similar priced plans with places like godaddy only allow 1 domain. And the OP did state,
He don't have to resell hosting plans... he can keep it all for himself ;)

One of your requests paying monthly instead of annually generally costs more per month and sometimes their is a setup fee.

Thank God people are finally begining to get over the "unlimited space & bw" thing.

@op, try some hosting directories like hostsearch.com, webhostdir.com etc.

Hostgator's Hatchling package cots less than $5. I personally use them as my site's host, but unfortunately, I have seen some downtimes in their hosting. My first few months at hostgator were perfect but just recently, I have seen some problems. Anyway, you can consider hostgator as an option.

to be honest, I guess if you run a website that depends only on seo content like articles and needs not too much space, my favorite is hawkhost.com . For jsut 3.95 they offer a support system that responds within 5 minutes and can help manually (cause their a small company with not so many users), the system never failed, 3 GB disk space ,30 gigabytes of transfer, unlimited MySQL Databases, unlimited e-mail accounts, included fantastico , etc.
The cpanel is basic, just like at hostgator, also has an affiliate that I never used... and you can pay via paypal, credit card , and some other options.

But if you have a website that needs really much space , just use hostgator.

namecheap is a domain registrar and offers host for about 2$ ... but it gives it like that only to domains bought on their website.
