    Here are some plugins that you need to install.

    - All in One Seo
    - Google XML Sitemaps
    - Super Cache
    - WP-Stats
    - WP-DB Manager

    Then you can install other plugins that will suit your needs :)

    I use also Post Teaser for posts on main page. It cuts post to suggested number of words, and looks if somewhere around that number is end of paragraph. If paragraph has few more or less words than specified, it takes it. Looks nice :)
    Simple Tags Reloaded for easier tagging
    NextGEN Gallery as gallery plugin (plugin that has lot of addons XD )
