What are ranks in DP?

I'm a newbie and wonder about the ranks in DP forum, I saw myself having peon and someone are having Grunt, etc
What these ranks means and how can they achieved.

 

This is as per another post because I can't find it in DP FAQ:

 

Yea ranks are changed now, but it's still World Of Warcraft style.

They are world of Warcraft terms. A peon is the lowest of the orcs, a worker, slave what ever you want to put it at. Check google for the other terms.

Here you have mention a member with 500-999 posts can become Tauren. Then how these two guys having 978 posts (Mentalhead) and having 903 posts (omarabid) is Twilight Vanquisher ??
