what are proxies/proxy servers?

    what are all these proxy proxy servers i keep hearing about on DP,
    i understand they are for redirecting to websites that are usually not allowed to be viewed on current host either by screening from schools etc..

    question is, how do you make your own proxy and is it profitable?

    what are the downsides upsides?

    Yup that's about it. proxies also allow you to surf annonymously. You can earn with proxies by using PPC ads like adsense on your home page and other ads on the proxified pages.

    what are the pitfalls, do you have to make many many proxy sites for it to be worthwhile?

    is it easy to make one? is it a script? and thats all you need?

    all you need to have is a script for the template, script for the proxy, and coding for the ads
