    Every time one of your ads are viewed it is counted as an impression.

    If you are very concern about your website's stats you should vary on the page impression of your site. In google ads, I don't often think of it!All I care is the conversion.

    True, irregardless of how many times a single user browse your site, each load will be counted.

    it's the number of times a page is viewed by visitors to your site.

    Everytime a webpage loads with an ad, it is 1 page impression.
    If your site has 3 adsense ads, and if a person opens your site, your adsense ads get 3 page impressions.
