What are other good ways to market a website other than using SEO?

Looking to promote my website and am looking for ways other than using SEO to do it.
My website is selling online traffic so I don't want to do anything like send out flyers or any old school methods.
I would prefer to keep the marketing internet related.

Hey AJ:You have the Facebook Like and Google +1 button embedded into your website? Write up an article with a great idea and submit it to directories. If your website doesn't already have a blog page, add one, and update it regularly. Do you have writing skills and a problem that you've solved or a cost you can help someone reduce? Why not write up a free report? A lot of people suggest issing a press release, and posting it on your own website, blogging about it, submitting the release to various directories...You can buy email lists of prospects of course, or build them up over time, I hear about 'squeeze pages' on people's websites, it seems that's the page where you collect their email address for a specific purpose... they can come in handy later as you develop more things to offer. I created a Youtube video for a client, and had a lengthy description of the video too, and this definitely improved page ranking for that website. Here's the thing: try and think and behave like a mother, and nurture your baby.

I also agree that social networks like Facebook are a great way to market. Even if the backlinks are nofollow, well placed nofollow links can still bring direct traffic to your site.

 

email marketing is efficient! Now I am using iKode Newsletter software now, and i find it very good. The email brings traffic every day, and maybe you can have a try!

Answer peoples questions yahoo answers and use the source as your site link. Example= if your website is about selling traffic, than go to yahoo answers and look for website traffic related questions. Look for someone with a question like this : How can I get online traffic? than you post your answer which will say: you can buy thousands of real visitors for very cheap from this site, and make sure your answers source is your website.

Yes, I do use my own service but I was wondering how everyone else does it on here since they have way more experience and knowledge than me.
So was hoping I can learn from you guys. Instead of learning on my own.

There are some really good suggestions on this thread. One of the best ways i've found to gain more traffic is to creates blog posts for your social media network. Make sure you create unique blogs or articles for your audience.
