What are "movable type blogs"

I am going to use something like geeklog, wordpress, or another blog type script to set up my news page for my site and was wondering which would be easiest to set up COOP ads on.

I see an option for "moveable type blogs" in the setup instructions, and wondered which ones may fall into this category.

I'll second that. I have a couple of MT blogs that are pretty much a PITA to setup. I setup my latest one (www.freetoairfooty.com) using Wordpress. It pretty much rocks totally.

If you don't know what Moveable Type is, then you shouldn't be selecting it as your site type. ;)

Sorry to be sounding like a dipshit guys, this is my first exploration into blogs :) I have since figured out how stupid my question is.

I am looking at wordpress right now, may install it. I assume it isnt too much of a pain to set up COOP ads on this?

The longer I live the more I realise there's no such thing as a stupid question. People who rub their knowledge in people's noses who are just learning are not worthy of sharing the oxygen we breathe so please ask as many questions as you have.

I consider myself a tech savvy person yet I still picked a blog platform not considered to be the best. I won't even tell you about the blog platform I used before MT, that was even worse!

No worries here, in some things, I dish it out, in computer related stuff I learn to take it. :)

I had never heard of "moveable type", so the word "type" had me thinking that many different blog scripts fell into this "type". Live and learn.

Well, I have the blog setup, just need to start getting content in and skinning it (something else to figure out. I got the COOP ads displaying, although I dont know if it is helping me yet since there is no PR on the new pages.
