What are "Goals" and how do i set them up?

    I'm new to using analytics, i used to use statcounter before. I see "Completed Goals"... What is this? And how do i set goals?

    If you want to measure the effectiveness of your online campaigns either you should have the E-commerce enabled in your analytics account or you can set up a goal.

    A goal is something similar to measuring how many visits are to a particular product on your site or How many downloaded a pdf from your site. This is basically what you want to achieve from your site, what you want the visitors to do!!

    Goals will let you know the ROI.
    Setting up goals will let you the the problem pages, where you are lacking ?
    What pages people move just before giving a query or lead and much more.
