What are Generic Keywords ?

    Digital Point Forum Is Great Plate Form for learning and earning with Lot of peoples.I am happy after coming here becasue in one day i learnt lots of new information's and rules about Business.On time i wanna Concern With You About Generic Keywords.So please explain with all friends and with me about Generic Keywords if you know about it.
    What are Generic Keywords ?

    I have not heard it specifically in any context. But I think generic keywords are the keywords which can be applied to any business of a particular niche. For example there are two sites, both selling shoes of different brands. The generic keywords for them would be like buy shoes, buy shoes at cheap price, buy men's shoes, etc. Both of these could or should use these generic keywords for their businesses. They have their unique keywords as well, like buy 'xyz' shoes at cheap rates.

    Yea, when building a backlink profile, you want to mix it up with generic keywords as mentioned above me. Google looks at the entire profile if there's any signs of unnatural building.

    If you include generic keywords, it can protect you from overoptimization, as well as backlink penalties. Just as long as you build a diverse link profile, then you'll be safe!

    I am agree with your discussion and compromise dear GuruCreation but i am asking from Colonma21 Are you SEO Consultant or Expert in seo if you are both then why not understand about Generic Keywords?

    Including generic keywords in your articles is a good thing to do.

    I think generic keywords are one-word keywords too, like kindle,weight loss etc....

    It does not have to be Click Here.
    Even a simple Click, Right, There, 1,2,3... you get the point, can be considered generic too.
    So long as it is not directly associated with your primary keyword, you should be fine and it can be used to dilute your keywords proportion.

    After penguin/panda update all sites are trying to make there link profile more natural so that its not traceable by manual team.
    I suggest most of the guys.
    60-70% anchor links with variation.
    30-40% generic keywords or simply URL.
    Generic keywords like "read more" "Homepage","important link", "useful link", "blog link".
