what are free directories?

    Can anyone tell me what are free directories?By submitting my articles on free directories how can i increase traffic to my blog?I dont get it.What are good sites to promote the blogs?:eek:

    Free directories are sites you can submit your articles, sites, etc. to.

    You can get traffic by submitting your site/article because your links are with the site/article you submit.

    Don't go for free ones they are mostly converted to paid ones after sometime.

    I am only new and very green to this game, but i do not see an issue linking with a free directory, but what i can see ( and i may be wrong ) is the issue of quality, just because it is free would not be a deciding factor for me.
