I one interview i have to face this question that what are doorway pages and how these pages are effective in SEO, it is black hat technique or white hat?. I want to ask you all that if you have a complete and deep knowledge regarding this question please share with me about its meaning and importance.
Doorway pages are one type of page that have been designed for one reason only, to rank high in the search engines for a exacting keyword and then straight the arriving visitors further into the website.The one that has the doorway pages - is significant for you, then don’t use redirection, but try instead to pass your marketing message on your doorway pages and also try to create your doorway pages appearing huge and more and more human-friendly, because public are going to observe them.
Doorway pages not connected to the remainder of the site and are optimized for a particular key phrase to entice site visitors and sometimes a specific search engine. Often used cloaking and redirected to other content.
This is what Google says about them: "Doorway pages are typically large sets of poor-quality pages where each page is optimized for a specific keyword or phrase. It is not ethical practice and part of black Seo. So it always better to have information of all the methods, however always use the methods which are correct in the eyes of google algorithm.

You are not supposed to "visit" the page. Instead, you are just supposed to find it in the search results and then click through to get to the site in question. In essence, a doorway page is no more than a one-page click-through advertisement for a website. However, when you are searching, you don't want to visit one-page click-through advertisements for a website. You want to visit websites. Think of doorway pages as giant banner ads, only worse.
