People say get deep links to your webpage. what are deeplinks compared to normal links? if i have a 400 page website, what would deep links be ? and How would i include deeplinks to it ? give examples please... Get back...
Non-homepage links are deeplinks . You have 400 pages sites. If you link to any of these except the homepage of your site...it will be a deeplink. Google values deeplinks because good sites get links to not just the home page, but inner pages too. Wikipedia is a perfect example of this. There are thousands of quality content pages in Wikipedia and this it keeps getting natural links to inner pages as well.
The term "deep link" is unnecessary, excessive jargon and a misnomer. "Critics say that the term 'deep linking' is unnecessary: deep linking is nothing other than hyperlinking" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_link )
The term 'deeplinking' is useful in terms of SEO, because there is a big difference between getting links to your homepage and getting links to deeper pages on your site. I don't care what 'the experts' on wikipedia say. Deeplinks will usually be more useful for SEO purposes, because the link-text is more likely to be on topic (instead of just your URL name). On a large site, it takes a good number of deeplinks to get all your content listed in google.
Imagine if you write a cool blog post and thousands of sites link to it. The sites link directly to the blog post rather than the homepage so these links are deep links.
ok here is an example www.yourdomain.com - main url Deeplinks : www.yourdomain.com/one.html www.yourdomain.com/two.php www.yourdomain.com/three.asp etc..
Deep Link - is a hyperlink to a page on a Web site that is not the home page or that points to a specific page or image on another website, instead of the website's main or home page.
