I have seen many forums offer it and i was just wondering what they were? If i have a directory, should i offer deep links?
There aren't a lot of deep link directories out there. I think it is a good idea to offer deep links as well to differentiate yourself from your competitors who does not offer them.
Deeplinks: You can list an additional url and description. It can be a page from the same web site or a different web site. Some web directories charge additional for deep links. Not a plug or anything but my bid directory www.bidvertiz.com gives you 3 deep links at no additional charge. Good question.

A deep link is a hypertext link to a page on a Web site other than its home page. The "deep" refers to the depth of the page in a site's hierarchical structure of pages. Any page below the top page in the hierarchy (the home page) can thus be considered deep. Get it?
On the contrary, it'll improve your sites PR and SERP if the sites you link to have considerable traffic.
