There are loads of people offering services, stumbles, Digs, etc etc What is most beneficial to improve your SERPS for your targeted keywords ? I know some of the services just drive a load of traffic which is not really any good for me it's the SERPS push i need. What should i invest in to boost my SERPS ?
the best way is the hard way - sign up to all of the major dofollow bookmarking services, write a different description for each one pointing to your site and all of the inner pages (takes a lot of time to do), use every variation of every important keyword, and also sign up to free blog services and write articles about your market, and point to your site in each one.
Those are all "cheating & manipulative" methods, considering diggs, stumbles, etc should be unique from people actually voting for the content, not bought or traded. Why not try building unique quality content that people would naturally want to link to and submit to these type of sites on their own?
Thanks for the replies. I don't think my articles are of interest to many people. They are for a service we offer and target a specific market which to many people is very boring. SERPS are everything in my business, the only traffic you get are from people needing your service and will type it straight into Google.
regardless, if you have little competition and build links the honest way, as well as write blog posts each week, it will continue to rise! If you have analytics, look at the terms people have been searching for and determine which additional keywords could be built off of those (use the Adwords keyword tool or Wordtracker)
Hi Mark I do build them the honest way lol and have a main Wordpress Blog which we add articles on etc. The competition is fierce Mark and not small which is why i want to keep up momentum with as many tools as possible. Thanks for your input Mark
Hmm... None Of The Above? If you use these services you will get banned by the services eventually, do the smart thing and just create great content that people want to look at you will do great that way.
When hiring an seo, always ask for a portfolio. After getting the portfolio, contact every single client to verify their work. After that start looking for any blackhat techniques(cloaking, spamming metatags, link spamming etc). If everything checks out clean then you have a legit seo. True seo is getting your site up into the first page of the major search engines. I found a great seo , now if only i can find one legit content writer that can write in american that doesnt charge an arm and a leg. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Content is no good if no one can find you in the search engines. In my opinion content is the icing on the cake, not its foundation.
I only use social site to get traffic and quick indexing instead of backlinks. If you want to make some good investment why not invest in article marketing. create maybe 10 to 50 pretty hypnotized articles and submit it to article directories. make sure the bio is pretty good too so while getting the backlink you also get some traffic too.
if you have an unique or quality content than and than you could do better, Let me tell buy building links for PR is no any more imp.
Wrong! Content is what will ground you as a authority site, the search engines could care less what links are pointing to your site if your content is not worth linking to. Ask any good pro seo or great blog and they will tell you content is king
i agree with gotlinks I must say that content is the foundation of a site.. that's what we are presenting to spiders and visitors right? Having a good content is our edge among our competitors but content itself can't stand the competition and it must be backed-up with quality links..
Anchor text and links... Since Google bombing is through links... Miserable Failure is one example of Google Bombing.
Heres how I look at it... If you create a site for users then the search engines will take care of themselves as they act and look at things like a human would. If they dont see anything worth linking to then they wont rank it well in the serps.
I agree with you, if you put the effort and time into your site building back links and getting interesting content the rest will follow after time. Money making websites are not made overnight (unless you buy an aged domain which will speed the whole process up).
Buying an aged domain only does so much though, you skip the sand box but thats about it really as when you change a aged site to a new topic its like starting fresh really.
Ah right, I never knew that as I've never bought an aged domain. I have always started mine from scratch. I have a 6 month old website which the keyword I'm after is the domain name itself and I am still not ranking in Google for it only getting traffic from msn.
