What are authority links

im a seo newbie and started with backlinks and article submissions. can anyone tell me what authority links are and how do i get them? thanks in anticipation

 

Authority links are just well known websites in your subject area or just in general. Authority websites are Amazon, Ebay, Wikipedia, Youtube, etc.

 

Authority links are links to your website from websites that are favoured by Google and other search engines as twigman1200 pointed out, Amazon, eBay, Wikipedia are just a few of the authority websites out there.

To get links from them can be extremely hard and frustrating so I recommend you focus more on adding quality content and high authority links should come automatically.

 

Don't forget edu and .gov. If your lucky, .mil

 

Edu's can be found, now gov and mil....those are rare beasts!

 

The links which is coming from articles or by one way linking process, which are having priority among search engines.
