dude that's like saying, the 2 cent soap i bought from a hobo rocks! my face was covered in shit, then i used it and now it's not!
AVG in Windows along with zonealarm to keep out worms, but only at work and on my test PC at home. At home I use Linux 99.9% of the time, so keeping the system and applications up-to-date, common sense and a good firewall keeps me safe.
^^hi 78963214! what does your username means? hehehe can anyone suggest an antivirus that won't slow down your computer and easy to update?
http://isc.sans.org/diary.php?storyid=1184 and http://it.slashdot.org/it/06/03/13/1322215.shtml Might want to take a read of that. I guess all of them have their moments though.
hmmm I was already going to get AVG, before i saw your post. Well, I don't have any problem for my antivirus if it's really good, but I don't want to instal some slow crap that will tell me every 5 minutes that I have lots of viruses and it can't do anything about it So basicly I'm looking for the best comersial solution.. ok, I'll probably go for mcafee or kaspersky..
I use AVG because the price is right. For email, all messages which contain executible attachments are auto-destroyed before they arrive in my mail box. And, I only view email as plain text. I never open attachments unless I am expecting them. For downloads, I scan before running. I do not download from warez sites. I do not download via chat. I do not let people load stuff on my computer.
